One part of our project was to integrate our project with what we learned at school (RC).

I am going to connect it to our yearly themes. These themes are Systems, Sustainability and Change.

Systems-The main system involved with the wolf repopulation is the forest ecosystem in Oregon. Right now there are no big game predators in the forests. If wolves came back to Oregon the wolves would kill the extra big game. This would keep the system of a forest working properly.

Change-The major change with my topic is the entering of the wolf. There is also a change in the way the ranchers will have to protect their livestock. There is not too much change because wolves lived in Oregon and naturally should be there.

Sustainability-The main connection to the RC is to Sustainability. Sustainability is the ability to keep going over time. Without wolves, the forest of Oregon will not be able to "keep going." If wolves do come back, the forests will need less help from humans to stay healthy.

The repopulation is also sustainable for the wolves. If they don’t find more habitat to live in they will die. That is unsustainable because an ecosystem needs many animals to survive.

There are also a few other things that we talked about like population density, outsourcing and government systems.

Population Density - Only so many wolves can live in one area.

Outsourcing - Some farmers are being stressed by farmers elswere. They then don't want any more problems(wolves).

Government Systems - The ESA is a government run system that has alot of politics surrounding it.
